Ciao a tutti FollowHz.
The Game Awards 2021 sarà ospitato da Geoff Keighley e si terrà a un pubblico invitato al Microsoft Theatre di Los Angeles nella notte tra il 9 e il 10 dicembre 2021. Le nominations per i candidati GOTY del 2021 e per le 30 diverse categorie sono finalmente uscite, e nonostante quest’anno sia stato un po’ povero nelle uscite (per i motivi che tutti sappiamo), sono comunque arrivati titoli interessanti che hanno saputo conquistare e coinvolgere i videogiocatori.
The Game Awards 2021: i candidati GOTY 2021
Deathloop
Sparatutto in prima persona sviluppato da Arkane Studios e pubblicato da Bethesda Softworks in cui il giocatore impersonerà Colt, un assassino con l’obiettivo di spezzare il loop, mentre Julianna (che può essere controllata dall’intelligenza artificiale o da un altro giocatore in modalità multiplayer) avrà il compito di inseguire ed uccidere Colt, impedendogli quindi di uscire dal loop. Il videogioco contiene meccaniche stealth e d’azione simili a quelle di altri videogiochi della Arkane Studios come Dishonored e Prey.

It Take Two
Platform action-adventure sviluppato da Hazelight Studios e pubblicato da Electronic Arts, con l’etichetta EA Originals. Il titolo è progettato specificamente per essere giocato in modalità multiplayer cooperativo, connesso in locale o online. Nel corso del gioco verranno acquisite diverse abilità, che abbinate tra loro daranno modo di progredire nella storia. Il gioco presenta un gran numero di meccaniche, che sono collegate alla storia e al tema del livello, oltre ad un vasto numero di minigiochi.
Metroid Dread
Action-adventure sviluppato da MercurySteam e Nintendo, il gioco presenta diverse novità nel gameplay, come arrampicarsi su muri azzurri o scivolare in spazi stretti. Inoltre il ritorno dell’attacco ravvicinato darà l’opportunità (per due volte) di poter scappare dagli E.M.M.I, e il ritorno dei Poteri Aeion ha portato all’aggiunta di elementi stealth, tramite un’abilità Aeion che permette a Samus di attivare un camuffamento che la renderà invisibile agli E.M.M.I. di pattuglia, a costo però di rallentare la sua mobilità.

Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart
Platform e sparatutto in terza persona sviluppato da Insomniac Games e pubblicato da Sony Interactive Entertainment, il gioco introduce nell’arsenale di Ratchet e Rivet una nuova meccanica chiamata “Rift Tether“, che li trascinerà da un lato all’altro di un portale, consentendo loro di spostarsi rapidamente tra i vari punti del livello. Ulteriori novità sono lo scatto in avanti e la corsa sul muro, mentre l’arsenale presenta un mix di armi nuove di zecca e altre provenienti dai capitoli precedenti, inoltre il gioco ha un grande assortimento di opzioni di accessibilità, per far sì che tutti i giocatori possano godersi il gameplay e completare la storia.

Resident Evil Village
Survival horror sviluppato e pubblicato dalla Capcom, che sebbene mantenga i principali elementi survival horror della serie, sembra essere più orientato all’azione rispetto al suo predecessore. Il giocatore seguirà le vicende di Ethan Winters ritrovatosi in un villaggio invaso da creature mutanti e avrà a disposizione armi e oggetti da acquistare dal Duca, il mercante del gioco. Village include una modalità multigiocatore online per sei giocatori chiamata Resident Evil RE:Verse, oltre al ritorno della modalità “Mercenari“.

Psychonauts 2
Platform sviluppato da Double Fine e pubblicato da Xbox Game Studios in cui gli Psychonauts cercheranno di scoprire chi è dietro al rapimento del loro leader. Il giocatore controllerà Raz, un membro di questa task force internazionale che userà le proprie capacità psichiche per entrare nei paesaggi mentali di vari personaggi alla ricerca di indizi, svelando un profondo mistero che circonda la fondazione dell’organizzazione e la storia della sua famiglia. In questo secondo capitolo avremo a disposizione una varietà di abilità psichiche nuove e di ritorno che consentiranno ai giocatori di muoversi attraverso le menti contorte e combattere le creature mentali che ne vengono prodotte.
